The LCA Tejas might look like a lightweight 4th generation fighter to many in the world but building a fighter jet from scratch and developing the required infrastructure takes time and lot of research. Tejas is designed by Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) & Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) for the Indian Air Force & Navy. The development of Tejas started in mid 1980s and have suffered many delays & road blocks.
